 Produced by NLECTC-National for the National Institute of Justice (NIJ) with the assistance of the Montgomery County (Maryland) Police Department, the purpose of this poster is to encourage officers to wear their body armor at all times. In-Custody Death Instructor Course
Currently this class is a one day course and cost is $175. Starting on August 1, 2008, the class will be two day course and cost will be $295. Class will provide you with the necessary information to understand the complicated issues surrounding sudden in-custody deaths. You will be able to recognize the clues for a potential in-custody death and understand how to handle this violent situation. First responders are not able to eliminate this problem but we must be prepared to address it when it happens. This is best achieved when all parties involved are working together. Police, Fire, EMS, Administrators of each agency, Medical, Legal, and Medical Examiners in your area are encouraged to attend this class.
