THE ROOK was designed with the safety of emergency responders in mind. The ROOK is specifically engineered to meets the tactical requirements of Law Enforcement, Fire Rescue, and HazMat response teams by offering the highest levels of safety, versatility and tactical application.
The ROOK, being SCBA compatible and fitted with NIJ Level III armor, enhances the safety of personnel responding to CBRNE mission(s), man-made or natural disaster(s), and armed barricaded subjects/hostage situations. The ROOK is also capable of providing a means for tactical intervention, USAR operations, and WMD tactical response.

The Rook Armored Deployment Platform
No matter how much space stands between you and your mission, none of it has to be exposed ground when your team is behind the Armored Deployment Platform. With four tactical weapons portals across the front, it's possible to engage suspects as you approach, without exposing your members to open fire. the entire platform can be raised to quickly gain access to the second story of a structure. A sliding door gives you the instant ability to deliver or recover critical materials or personnel and rescue civilian. It's the advantage you've been looking for in any and every department.
The armored personnel platform is equipped with NIJ Level III+ protective plating and video cameras affixed to the front of the platform. It is equipped with four portals across the front for tactical weapons deployment and has a sliding door allowing for the delivery or recovery of Hostage Negotiation phones, food, medicines, hostages/suspects, EOD equipment and tactical teams into second story entries. It also provides an elevated position behind field force personnel allowing a better view and dispersal of chemical agents and less than lethal munitions if necessary.

Hydraulic Breaching Ram
The Penetrating Arm with video camera system consists of a hydraulic cylinder capable of providing 6500psi for a controlled breach of doors, windows, and walls. This system eliminates fragmentation associated with explosive breaching, making it safer for tactical team members while minimizing structural damage to the crisis site/structure. An additional feature is the video camera system attached to the face plate of the ram. The video system provides the operator a 180 degree view of the ram's surroundings, allowing breached areas to be surveyed prior to entry by tactical team members.

Vehicle Extraction Attachment

The vehicle extraction tool is designated for the removal and control of a vehicle by the tactical team where the potential exists for a suspect to become mobile. The ability to remove this contingency from the scenario without endangering tactical team members is well within acceptable tactical options for such situations. This capability would also be applicable to a man-made or natural disaster response by the tactical team.

Standard ROOK package includes:
- (1) 25’X 8’ Goose Neck Trailer
- (1) Caterpillar 287C Multi Terrain Loader integrated with NIJ Level III Armor and ballistic resistance glass. It also is SCBA compatible for Hazardous Material and WMD response.
- (1) Hydraulic Breaching Ram 6500psi fitted with three low-light video cameras attached to the face plate for 180 degree field of view.
- (1) Grapple attachment with 4000+ lb lifting capacity for debris removal and site preparation.
- (1) Vehicle extraction attachment for vehicle removal/recovery.
- (1) Tactical Deployment Platform with video monitoring/recording capabilities and lifting capabilities for second story entries and / or rescue operation(s).
