MAP POCKETS: Each front shall be constructed with a map pocket design which is sewn to the front and to close with Velcro on each pocket near the top center placket. POCKETS: Two breast patch pockets with mitered corners and 1-1/2" stitched pleats shall be sewn over the map pockets. Each breast pocket to have 1- 1/2" pencil stitch. Each pocket to have hook Velcro, 3/4" long by ½" wide, positioned on both edges of pocket to correspond with outer pointed flap as specified. Velcro to be stitched all sides and to be sewn to the outer pocket only. FLAPS: Two piece deep scalloped design to secure to map pocket approximately 3/8” above pocket. Each flap to have invisible pencil opening 1-1/2" to correspond precisely with pencil slot of pocket. (Stop & start stitching for pencil opening unacceptable and shall be cause for rejection.) Flaps to be 1/4" topstitched. Flaps to have fusible interlining. Creased and edge stitched pocket flap construction unacceptable. Under side of the flap to have looped Velcro 3/4" long by 1/2" wide stitched all sides, positioned on outer edges of both pocket flaps to secure with corresponding Velcro strips on shirt pocket. Each flap shall have a button centered on uncut sewn buttonhole. INSIDE SHOULDER ADJUSTMENT OPENING: On the inside of each shoulder there shall be an open pass through between the outer / inner layers approximately 3” wide from the back yoke to the front. TRAUMA PLATE OPENING: An overlapping opening on the inside of the front, approximately 6” wide and centered where the woven fabric is sewn to the Spacer Mesh lining for the insertion of the trauma plate. MILITARY CREASES: There shall be five stitched-in sharp military creases on all shirts. One crease on each front to be centered vertically. Front creases shall be through pockets and flaps. Spacing for three military creases across shirt back to be proportionate to the size of the shirt. BUTTONS: First grade 20-ligne melamine.
