Course Fee is $600.00. Required ammo 600rd rifle, 100rd pistol.

Course description:

This TCOLE Patrol Rifle Instructor course is designed around current TCOLE Firearms Instructors who are already familiar with the common Patrol Rifle/AR15. This course is designed by a veteran TCOLE instructor to insure that instruction, implementation, policy and program development will successfully withstand any vetting processes. TCOLE credit will be posted by the host agency upon completion of course. This course will cover multiple areas including but not limited to: 

• Utilization and benefits of a Patrol Rifle/AR15
• Policy development and course implementation, liability avoidance 
• Common rifle malfunctions/issues
• Patrol rifle proficiency testing, day/low light standards
• Fundamentals of Marksmanship 
• Weapon maintenance 
• Weapon manipulation
• Zero distances, course and qualification design 
• Common shooter issues, positive re-enforcements techniques 
• TCOLE qualification standards and requirements 

Focus will be on the fundamental skills needed to consistently and efficiently instruct students on the patrol rifle. We have packed this course with instructor information to help make you a better patrol rifle instructor. You will leave the course with a greater understanding and more advanced instructor skill level.

Course Prerequisites: 

• Hold a TCOLE Peace Officer License
• Have successfully completed the TCOLE Firearms Instructor Certification course 

Equipment List
 
• Ballistic vest is mandatory
• AR15 style Patrol Rifle (red dot optics, iron sights and LPVO scopes are acceptable) 
• Reliable pistol with holster (no Serpa holsters) 
• 2 Rifle Magazine pouches
• Cleaning gear 
• Pen, pencil and writing material
• Eye and ear protection 
• Appropriate Range clothing 
• 600 rounds of rifle ammunition
• 100 rounds of pistol ammunition 
• Rifle sling
• Patrol rifle mounted weapon light (at least 300 lumens)
* Ammunition may be available for purchase through www.gtdist.com . 
* Loaner weapons may be available.

A non-refundable deposit of $200.00 will be required to hold a slot in the course if the course is not paid in full. Full payment must be completed 1 week prior to the start of the course.
